The True Essence of Christmas

                Christmas is celebrated every 25th of December; it is the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. People are giving and sharing gifts to one another to show their gratitude. It is where also people go from house to house to sing Christmas carols. Before the celebration of Christmas, people attend midnight masses; they go to church to cherish our God. There is this ‘Noche Buena’ in which people consider the highlight of Christmas, they serve foods and eat together at exactly midnight of 25th. This are the manifestations people do during the birth of Christ.

                 But what Christmas should be? Theoretically speaking, the true essence of Christmas is to give one another, love and peace at their hearts in order for the nation will be calm. In this case, why not celebrate Christmas every day? Nowadays, so many crimes all over the world are made. Even neighbor countries are putting gap between them because of supremacy. I believe that with Christmas, there will be no crimes. I believe that with Christmas, countries will no longer have a space; I believe that with Christmas, as long as people know the true essence of it, there will be no longer bad news seen or heard or read at publications. Love, peace, acceptance and forgiving for me is the true meaning of Christmas.

                We have own definition of Christmas and we have own ways on how Christmas should be manifested. But let us not forget, all though it’s not Christmas let’s continue to work with faith.
